James 1:2-4 NIV
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
Wisdom: Trying times in our life are to build our faith. God allows trials to happen as he is the sovereign ruler of all. Not to harm you but to build patience, faith, and dependence on him. Your storms last only as long as you want to go about it alone without the help of the Lord. God wants you to experience his power and grace, but you can hold yourself back with unbelief in him. Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of faith. Keep your eyes on him and not your circumstances he will see you through.Trials help chisel your character as all experiences in our life shape who we are. Share your testimonies with others how God brought you through the tough times. Believe in God’s word not your feelings or circumstances; rejoice in trials as it is only helping you become the faithful person God designed you to be.
The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still. - Exodus 14:14
Wisdom: The biggest problem we have as humans is that we believe we are in control of our fate. We fight in battles without faith in God; battles we will not win. Don’t be double minded praying to God for help in a situation and then instead of waiting on him you do it on your own. You must be still keep the faith and wait on him. No matter what your going through you can depend on God to see you through. We weren’t designed to fight battles on our own. The Lord will fight for you just stay calm. Believe that the ultimate outcome in whatever you are facing is in God’s hands.
Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them. -Psalm 107:8
Wisdom: Think about all you have ever accomplished and what you have in your life today. It is all because of God’s will. He is the sovereign ruler of the Heavens & the Earth. Even when you are not thinking about him he is always thinking about and loving you. Life isn’t no crystal stair but if you have the foundation of a relationship with God through the righteousness of Jesus Christ you have a indestructible foundation. That you can overcome any storm and still praise God in the midst of the struggle. In the good times praise God and even in the bad times praise God. He loves you unconditionally and his character is unchanging. So if you keep the Kingdom of God first in your life just imagine how much more God’s grace, glory, and love will be present in your life. God loves you dearly just praise him!
Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone. - 1 Thessalonians 5:14
Wisdom: In today’s world patience is truly a lost virtue. Us as disciples in Christ are foretold what we should being do for others in this verse. Our lives should not be one of only personal peace, but of bringing wisdom, grace, and peace to others should be our worthwhile goal. Having a patient attitude means you focus on God, not on the things of this world , which can so often drag a person down. Also, there’s a side benefit when you keep your eyes on God: personal joy.
Think It Say It:
Lord sometimes I get lost in the rat race of life not thinking about who I can be a blessing to. I acknowledge your word and beginning today I want to bring grace and peace to others not just myself. If I keep my eyes on you I can bring glory to you oh Lord, being that loving, patient, and caring presence that many people in this world need. I give you all the honor, praise, and glory in Jesus Name Amen.
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
No matter how badly you’ve messed up, get up and live another day. You may have fallen, but you can and will get up! YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR.
Accept that God has not stopped loving you or believing in you. Nothing can separate you from His Love. Nothing past, present or TO COME! You are not condemned.
Think It Say It:
There is now NO condemnation to me, because I am in Christ Jesus. I accept God’s mercy in spite of all my mistakes. I will not allow my sins or failures to define me. I am the righteousness of God; therefore, no matter how far or how many times I’ve fallen, I can and will get up. He is at work in me still, and nothing shall separate me from His love—I am more than a conqueror, in Jesus’ Name.
“But his father said to the servants, ‘Quick! Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him. Get a ring for his finger and sandals for his feet.” Luke 15:22
Wisdom: We need to think like sons of God rather than slaves. We are not dogs waiting for the crumbs from the table. We are sons, and even when we’ve failed, God intends for us to experience His best!
Think It Say It : No matter what is happening in this world, things are getting better and better for me! God has made me righteous through His blood; therefore, my path is getting brighter and brighter every day.
I can celebrate in the presence of my enemies, because my cup runs over, and never runs out! God has saved the best for last in my life, and my latter days will be better than my former days, in Jesus’ Name.
